QUick question on hubs

Hi, I've been searching round the forums and I can't seem to find an answer for the following question, so any help is much appreciated.

Basically during a tidy up of my garage I found a set of mk2 16v hubs with 280mm brakes and calipers that I had planned to fit to an mk2 I had, and I was just wandering if it's possible to fit the hubs to my mk1 as I'm upping power and combined with the servo mod will stop me brilliantly.

hubs not a direct fit no, main problem is the track rod fitting is too low on the mk2 hubs givin you bump steer, plus I beieve the shock/hub need a bit of modification to fit together.

280 calipers n carriers will go on the mk1 hubs using brake adaptor brackets from the caddy forums though :)
