Picture needed of early mk1 brakes

Hi Guys,

Im having clearance problems with my wheels on my refurbed mk1 gti calipers.
I'd rather not put 20mm spacers on as im gonna be sticking out the arches enough as it is!

Someone told me that the early mk1 carriers dont have the brace that goes all the way around the front? Is this true? :dontknow:

1 - Does anyone have any pics of one?
2 - Will my later caliper/pads fit into an early mk1 carrier?

i havent got a photo but there is a carrier for those calipers without the bit that is in your way,ive got a set to be recoated somewhere so there avaliable  :wink:

So they would bolt straight up to my later calipers and pads?
Or do I need the square looking pads and will they fit in my calipers?
Also will my vented discs still be ok?

How much you want for them?

I see on vagcat they are 239mm
