pic request/advice,mk1 on 13s please!

hello all,im thinking of swapping my 15s for some wide 13s,i love the low look but im worried im gunna smash my sub frame to bits, its a 1.1 so sump aint a problem just the 'suspension arms' (that may be wrong but the 2 lowest bits, that the whole arms bolt to)
any pics of mk1s on 13s,underneath or just from a far would be much appreciated!
or advice from people rolling with 13s.
have had no (touch wood) catching issues on my 15x8s except arches just worried goin 13s would hurt my beloved mk1!

At the end of the day up to you mate but a friend is running a mk2 with 13's and has proper f*ked subframe there's low and then there's too low many will disagree but at the end of the day you want it driveable :)

did 2 years with 13's on, had it on the deck - went through 2 sumps, scraped the chassis and suspension arms to death…… but my god did i love it!

Hi mate i'm running 13's on coilovers and the only real problem you have is the inner wishbone mounts which look like 2 u shaped metal brackets coming from the bottom of the floor plan and they can be right in the firing line of speed bumps and sometimes if the roads got really bad curve to it I catch the gearbox mount on the road but thats very occational. If you drive sensibly then there is no reason you can't lower your car on 13's but like others say i guess its down to personal opinion. Heres a photo of mine on 13 x 7's

You'll have to excuse the gti splitter that was a silly idea that lasted about 20 meteres down my road until i came across the first speed bump, got the standard golf splitter on now and never had a problem with that catching on speed bumps or anything.
