Original dimensions on Golf mk1 wheels?

I'm wondering about what the dimensions on the original wheels that the car came with out of the factory was?

Looking at the brochure, I think LS model was 1.6 in 1976?

Thanks you, but the SR-part, does that tell the top speed of the tires? What about the "height" of the tyre? Like 185/45 R15

Sorry, for not notifying you that I edited the year from 76 to 75

If the profile isn't mentioned in the spec, then assume 80 or 82 profile. So, you can work out the height of the tyre from the width, which is given in mm.

Thank you I'm putting some 15" 7" rims on my Golf, and searched for tires to put on. I asked for 185/45 R15 or 175/50 R15, but he said I couldn't drive with those tyres, because they reached out of the 5% limit, if you get what I mean? I checked that now with a tire calculator and it said 3% or something?

Sorry, makes no sense to me. Who is "he", and what is the 5% or 3% limit?

Oh, sorry, my bad. I wisited a local tire shop, so "he" was the one who's working there

The rolling diameter limit.

I guess the rules are different in Norway. There is no 5% or 3% legal limit as such, although tyre fitters may well use this as a guideline.

Since the tyre fitter seems sensible and well clued-up, just follow his advice on what can be mounted on a 7x15 wheel.
