oil in clutch help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hi

i finished my 83 gti project last week first run out clutch started to slip above 3k when reved hard.

i took gearbox out and found clutch was covered in oil. bought new clutch but when fitting it today i discovered that oil is running down the shaft where the pushrod operates the clutch. spreading onto clutch plate.


any help welcome on how to solve this problem

its the 5 speed box.

u sure it aint out from the main crank seal beind the flywheel?

no i replaced that seal when i had the engine in pieces.

Replace the bronze bush and oil seal in the end of the mainshaft and it will be ok  :mrgreen:
