What a difference they make 8O
Took the old ones out and discovered that i didnt have the spacers fitted   so had to do something, so i made my own and cut up two 14mm sockets to fit :mrgreen: just have to get the tracking and camber set now, and then i will have a handling gti again

you will find it has a MASSIVE difference fitting new top mounts!!!

 had mine done a few weeks back. You can really chuck it into corners and it just sticks. Get them spacers sorted too!! About ?1 each from VW, but is essential in the front suspension set up. It stops the spring from rotating round when cornering, and uses the bearings to rotate instead. You`ll feel the difference…
 no spacers - "grabby" sluggish turn in
 with spacers - silky smooth progressive cornering

 Would recommend that you get the alignment, camber checked too.
