new suspension?

Hi. I need some advise with new suspension.
I'm looking for a new suspension kit (back and front) for my Golf MK1 Cabriole and not sure where to start. I have a budget of £500. appreciate any advise

First obvious question is, why do you need new suspension, what's wrong with the existing etc?

the existing one doesn't tolerate any humps or pot holes at speeds higher than 5MPH and you can hear something (I think shock absorbers) hitting the body when you go over 5MPH. the car has been lowered, not by me or previous owner.

If its been lowered on coilovers then raising it might cure some of the issues you have.

What wheels and tyres does it have, often rubbing issues are due to unsuitable ones.

it has 14 inches wheels and I have recently got Yokohama tires. I definitely can't hear any rubbing noise from the tires. also forgot to mention that on the motorway the car sort of jumps up and down after a hump especially at the high speeds (50 and up)
