New Hubs?

Just a quick question, Im about to do my wheel bearings (yet again!) theyre only twelve months old and already gone (or at least feel that way)
Could it be that the play is in the hub?
Im just wondering how to tell if the hub needs changing. Or is it just a matter of course to change them? im on quite a strict budget thats all.

Front or back wheel bearings?

If its the rears your having trouble with, then just try tightening them up. I've replaced both rears before was pretty simple, tighten them up and back them off or something. If your still getting some play try tweeking them up a little bit more maybe.
