new gear box

Hi,

just after some advice really. I need a new gearbox for my 1.8 gti cabby on a H plate. Apparently there are different sorts….and someone told me that the mk1 and mk2 box are the same? i that right?

I also need a new clutch. I just rang for a price, and the guy told me there were 3 different ones listed for my car, depending on the engine code. Trouble is, it hasnt got the original engine in it….

is this one big disaster? heeelp meeee!!!
