Need front brake discs and pads for Cabrio

Hello

This is my first post and i'm not mechanically minded so forgive me.

Could anyone tell me what front brake disc/pad setup i need for my MK1 Cabrio 1.8 Karman Clipper and where i can buy them? I heard i needed vented discs but don't know what this means.

I also need a filler neck and associated flexi hoses. Where is the best place for these?

Many thanks

Best bet is to goto Euro Car Parts (www.eurocarparts.co.uk) for e.g and tell them what kind of car you have and what you are looking for.

TBH, and please dont take this the wrong way if you are asking this sort of thing, please get a garage to fit the new parts for you.

Brakes are not the sort of thing that i would like someone to start learning on…You need them to stop you ploughing into a bus load of orphans for instance…

Yep, or try GSF or any of the mail order places in the VW mags.  They should be able to make sure you get the right disc and pad combination for the car.  Not sure if it changed, but my cabrio (on an 88 plate) is on 239mm vented discs.

GSF also do the filler neck and hose for the cabby, but the filler is expensive (+?100, I think).  Crazyquiff can sell you a filler neck designed for the tin top and give you instructions on how to fit it to cabby if you want to save some money.

Hope this helps.
