MOT HELP - Brake discs, callipers, gear box

So I've got to put the 86 mk1 gti cabrio in for an MOT.. its been off road for a few months, but ive given it a general service, changed filters, oil, throttle cable..

Only real area of concern is the breaks - as seems usual, lots of travel and a bit spongy. Alos im certain there is a slow leak in the brake fluid somewhere…

The front discs (kelsey-hayes) are a bit worn & rusted, pads look like they've been replaced fairly recently, so i thought id replace discs & pads…

Turns out the discs arent actually attached to the wheel hub, the one screw to do this has sheared off.. i can see this might not be the biggest problem as when the wheel is on it bolts the discs on but not great.. this is the same on both side

Also the front left calliper guide pin has had its allen key fitting stripped by the previous owner (must have been when they changed the pads) and is basically unusable.. so i havent been able to change either discs or pads as i cant do both..

(i also found it difficult to get the calliper on the otherside off at all.. dont know if its stuck or needs a little encouragement)

So basically it looks like the only option might be to replace the wheel hubs on both sides.. any other suggestions?!

the calipers should be attached to caliper hangers whic also bolt off, this should save you replacing the whole hub.
