MK3 TDI gearbox > 1.8T conversion help?

so the guys, as i have been told the VR6 box wont fit, i have the chance of fitting a mk3 TDI gear box from a 1998 model with cable changer and a cable clutch…

can anyone help me in giving me a definitive answer…. WILL THIS BOX BE OK TO USE??????

of course i will be using it with a G60 flywheel and vr6 clutch
