mk2 drive shaft+ fit mk1??

Hi, new member here, i have a mk1 Golf cabriolet 1.8 GLI and am trying to replace the cv joints, but i can't get hold of any as they are obsolete! i've been told that my car is a bit rare as it maybe on a cross over year? i now want to replace the drive shaft and hubs and am also having the same problem. begs the question, will a MK2 drive shaft hub and cv joint set fit a MK1 1.8 GLI cabriolet?? If there's anyone out there in the know, it would be very much appreciated if you could get in touch. Thanks. :D

It will depend on Chassis number/year.
