mk1 what discs and pads

does anyone have an ideas of good discs and pads for a standard mk1 golf was think greenstuff pads but not sure about discs dont wana spend a fortune i no the mk2 brakes are a better upgrade but cant aford at the min so want try get the standard ones good any ideas

What model is your Mk1? A GTI or not? PS Also moved into the correct section...

EBC Greenstuff pads with Tarox discs works well.

Mk2 GTI 8v are the same discs and pads as the Mk1 GTI.  If your Mk1 isn't a GTI, you can use Mk2 Scirocco calipers and carriers to make them into Mk1 GTI brakes without too much hassle, there are plenty of them in the scrappies!
