mk1 drive shafts?

ive just put a 4 plus e gearbox in my a reg mk1 cabriolet. the gearbox was from a mk2 gl, ive still got the mk2 driveshafts in cos they didnt visually look any different. However my cambers now off and theres a bit of vibration when in gear, ive seen some mk1 shafts on e.bay, but it says they are for a late cab, so my question is..... Are mk1 shafts shorter, and is there any difference between late and early shafts? cheers for any input

As the mk2 has a wider track then would assume it has longer driveshafts.

mk2 driveshafts are not what you want to be running. fit the mk1 shafts.

Re: mk1 drive shafts?

You need to use mk1 drive shafts as mk2 are longer! (not a lot) cabs are the same as mk1 but with larger 100mm coupling.
