mk1 caddy shorter rear shocks

Hi all, hope every one is all good and enjoying these last few days of sunshine before the typical English winter weather kicks in.
I have a question that I cannot seam to find answered in any of the older posts, I have a 1990 caddy on coilovers at the front and an axle flip on the rear and by the looks of it standard rear beetle shocks, to me it is  still a little to high at the back, is there any shorter shocks i can get to fit? if so where bouts would be the best place to look? any other info on lowering the rear would be greatly appreciated. I have had the caddy for less than a week and have some big plans starting with putting my ats classics on hence why i ideally need it a bit lower lol.

Many thanks in advance
Chris

I ran a flipped axle and 2" lowering blocks with beetle shocks without problems.. if you want to go lower then I'd suggest the shocks are not whats stopping you (unless you still have caddy shocks, beetle are shorter).. even shorter are peugeot 205 (get them from a base model though as otherwise they're too stiff)

I just had the blocks machined up locally.. I had the multileaf rear springs (some have move leaves than others) so removed the very heavy duty (flat leaf) and had the blocks machined to the maximum height that could be used with stock U bolts.

The block also had offset locating holes in it to re centralise the axle in the wheelarch (moved it back a bit)
