Crazyquiffs did 16v mk2 servo upgrade on mine.  That along with new discs pads at front and drums and pads at rear and it transformed the brakes. I would do that first and then if that is not enough upgrade to bigger discs at the front.  Apparently the 16v servo upgrade is the best value brake upgrade in terms of improvement per £.

Trouble is a larger servo dosnt improve your brakes, they just appear to work better for less push.

If you want to go flash go for THESE mate. There's a 256mm kit as well.

Autocavan Superbrake bar, Bias pedal box, G60 280mm discs and Audi S2 callipers all do a very good job on mine!!!

Speeding is like masturbation, everyone does it ,but it's not something you should record and put on the internet!!

As I'm not made of money, I fitted some Zafira calipers, vectra carriers with G60 discs to my Cabby. Its the cheapest way I could see to upgrade the brakes. (After 16v servo and MC change that is).

I did similar got s/h vectra b calipers and carriers, got overhaul/seal kits for them and new 256 discs and matching pads and s/h 16v servo and new 22.2mm m/c and just new cylinders on rear, made them like modern brakes without abs. Didn't cost a lot, in my opinion.

There is what looks like the Scirocco 16v 256mm setup for sale on cgti at the moment - bolts straight on if it is (check carrier bolt spacings are 76mm though)

I went for spacers on the callipers and 270 TSR discs and pads with different carriers. Got them second hand and then 9" servo, painted the lot and a new m/c for under £200

I did a complete rebuild/replacement of the standard back drum setup, and also replaced the servo and m/c with the 16v mk2 units and the brakes are completely different, much better setup.
Would recommend if your on a budget.
