MK1 Auto box

Hi I can only drive an Automatic car due to a disability, I'm thinking of buying a MK1 soon but would like to find an automatic one, or if possible convert a manual to an auto, has anyone come across an auto or does anyone know anyone how has converted the MK1 manual to an auto?
