Master Cylinder swap

Hi folks,
83 gti  Master Cylinder swap how easy is it? and what size do i need (off what car)?
do i need any extra stuff?

I'm interested in this aswell, we used to have a Mk2 1.8GL which had drum rears and solid discs that were the same size as the Mk1, the brakes were infinitely better than my Mk1. Apart from a bit of pipe re-arranging are the servo and master cylinder a straight swap?
