LSD on a standard Mk1 Campaign
Hey guys,
I have lot of wheelspin on take off and when going hard into corners/roundabouts in my standard 1.8GTI. Is there a LSD that I can bolt straight on that would help with my traction problems?

Quaife, Gripper, Kaaz, Peloquin and a few others. I have a Gripper in mine. The difference out of a slippy junction is amazing. You can still wheel spin but the car just goes anyway.

About 550 for the diff plus the cost of fitting, trouble is that fitting requires a full gearbox stripdown, normal practice is to pay for a gearbox rebuild (new bearings and seals) and have the diff fitted at the same time.. you may also need a set of bolts for the ring gear which are about 100 (some diffs come with them)..
So realistically its going to cost a grand.
Personally its the best grand you can spend on a mk1, the difference it makes is night and day…
