LOWERED MK1 CABRIO CRAP RIDE

i have bought a mk1 cabriolet its lowered at the front using lowered springs only(red ones)…the ride is pants..if you even sit on the front of the car it dont move an inch…..is this normal….thinking of getting some standard springs put back on as its a nightmare like this

check the shocks, ive got 40mm front drop on standard shocks and its suprisingly comfortable

No this aint normal , im so low i could crawl under an snake whilst wearing a top-hat . when i replaced my suspension it was butcherd and it wouldnt move at-all. u should never use just springs any how cos the valving inside the shock body for compression and rebound will be out of sync with the springs rate (the spring and shock will fight each other ) . if your on a budget get a set of matched springs and shocks from venom . there own brand ones are dead cheap and work surprisingly well , i droped my mates mk2 60mill on these and they worked a treat .  :wink: any probs drop us a line
