Knocking from front right

Hi Im getting a loud knocking from front right when slowing down, it goes away while accelarting and there is no bad noise while car is stationary.

I have a 92 golf 1.8 Clipper convertable

Any help would be great

Jack it up and check for play in the bottom ball joint. Check roll bar brackets are all innplace and secure. Same with steering rack. Possible cv joint if none of them

warped disc possibly? when slowing using brake or coasting
