is the intake manifold the same on 1.6 gti as 1.8 gti

hiya im fitting a audi 5000 throttle body to my car and in order to do that i have to
reshape the intake,i have a 1.6 intake and would prefer to grind that so
if i dont like this mod or it goes wrong i can go original again thanks

there are slight differences with the breather fittings but nothing drastic. why not just compare it with the one on your car

the head side is the same so either will bolt on
