If your car goes flub flub flub

My cabrio has been making a flub flub flub noise - I hadn't really noticed before - but just like the dripping tap, once I noticed it….. it really started to piss me off! :banghead:  It was wheel related - got faster/slower with road speed, not with revs.

but what was it?  :?

Front differential shot?  :(

Nope - the mechanic who got it throught its MOT (bless 'im) replaced the two rubber gaiters on the front RH drive shaft - and one of the clips he used to secure the gaiter nearest the wheel stuck out JUST enough to rub against the clamp for the anti-roll bar. Flub flub flub

If you're having your gaiters changed - be sure to ask for low profile clips (low profile clips - shurely this post should go under modifications?)

…reminds me of a strange 'click click' I had with my 'Old Faithful'….was one of the inner u/j joint bolts had it's head sticking out a bit, just enough to catch the final drive casing….luckily found it in time……

…and on the Clipper (with it's 13" Speedlines)……a strange ticking noise…..was one of the weights come unstuck, just catching the brake caliper……drove us MENTAL !!!
