how much poke will these give me

i am think of buying some new wheels for my mk1 golf gti i have seen some that i like could you let me know if theses will give me much poke

the spec is

ET40
7"X15"
7.5"X15"

Poke?

you will not get anything with et40, i have 7j et35 and they run very close to the shock absorber. if you want poke youll nee to go for a lower offset.

dum question i always forget is ithigher the number further in it sits?
i.e et30 sits further in than e.g et10?

hate offsets!!

if i have a et of 12 how much will it stike out of the arch

Depends what width wheels..

I run Maserati Biturbos on my MK1 fronts are 6x14 ET6 rears are 6.5 x14 ET6  and sit perfectly ..well for me anyway,slight tuck with 185/50/14 tyres.
