How can I improve braking efficency?

Hi

Just had car back from MOT and my braking efficency is 64% which doesn't sound great to me, breakdown is:

Fronts - 74%
Back - 49%
Parking brake - 21%

Brakes are preety much all new with 280mm conversion using vauxhall calipers and g60 discs with braided hoses, rears and rear disc conversion with mk4 calipers and handbrake cables are pretty much new as well!

With that set up I would've thought the efficency would be a lot better than that, any ideas how I can improve that  or if that efficency sounds about right?

He also put an advisory on that the front discs were binding slightly when turned by hand!

Thanks

Drew

If the components are brand new they need a period of time to bed in, but its hard to see how you can do that with no MoT....And its quite a lot lower than it ought to be anyway.

When you say quite a lot lower than it should be what would you say a good braking efficency rating should be?

I thought it needs to bed in which would account for the binding on the front discs

Should be a lot better than that! Even standard discs/drums would be much better than the readings you're getting.

Did you replace the brake fluid with new and completely bleed the system when you did the upgrade?

I bled them again and found a bit of air but haven't had them retested yet so not sure how Hugh they've improved, but they don't feel like they've improved much!
