or yes it's an easy thing to do
and yes you will have to get the camber and tracking reset.

If not you'll need to get one, to make life easier.
Secondly, if they have been on there a long time, and not waxed/coated, its likely that the adjusting rings will have seized on to the struts/one another.
So you'll need to un seize them, bit of wd40 and some brute force should do the trick.
The process of adjusting the height is very straight forward.
Jack up the car ( and use axle stands of course) remove the wheels, and rotate the collars up with the C spanner (it will be hard work though, as your compressing the spring.) Be sure to take measurements to make sure the right height will be the same on both sides of the car. When you've got the top collar into the position you want, be sure to screw the other ring up to it nice and tight. It will be worth while coating them with motorcycle chain wax afterwards, to make life easier if you want to adjust the height again.
And thats really all there is to it
