Help needed for Clipper Cabriolet brakes
Hi
I have a 1.8 1989 Clipper Cabriolet, and need to replace the brake hoses for the next MOT.
I phoned a parts company, and their first question was 'are the brakes Lucas or Girling?'.
I've checked a Haynes manual, and the 3 choices in there are Kelsey-Hayes, Girling, and Teves.
I looked at the pads on the car, and they're a rounder (what I call a standard) shape, rather than square pads such as the Teves. From the 3 choices in the Haynes manual, they look most like the Kelsey-Hayes ones, but the manual is for MK1 Golfs up to 1984.
Can anyone shed any light?
Thank you
Phil
