Heavy Clutch - Cable question
It's on a slant and if I lift the plastic cap up its worn into the alloy housing slighty, this is obvoiusly the cause, but were do i go from here. the adjustment thread is fully extended! I actully think its over extended are there any other adjustments to make on the cable?
I don't have haynes manual yet so please help, my leg is beginning to hurt

Then go to the other side where the clutch cable fixed onto the clutch. There should be an arm where the cable threads through, take apart the attachment that holds the cable in place (remember the order the pieces stick together!) and thread the new one through.
I'll get some pictures of mine tommorow, make it abit clearer but it's about a 40 minute job if you don't have a clue what you're doing. First thing I did with my car once I bought it!

A second hand cable would be an option, how much are new ones?
I also wnat to get a haynes manual and and unsure which one covers my car fully as its a 1990 model and i understand some MK2 parts are on later mk1's.
