Harsh Suspension

Hey, just got my MK1 GTi Cabrio which has Spax coilovers and although i like how it sits (relitavley low) the ride is farrr too harsh for my liking.   Even when going along the botorway your bouncing about everywhere.

What set-up would people recomend (probably just shocks and springs wit hmy bidget) that will lower a decent about (40mm??) but also give a decent (if anything softer rather than stiffer) ride??

haha just went out to see just how hard the suspension is….tried bouncing the car up and down on the front….nothing!!!  Its not moving one bit!!  Sugestions needed quickly as to what suspension would be soft but low!!

While i havent tried everything and something may suit you generally low and soft does not go together.

fair enough well a mixture of the 2 maybe haha???  Lower than standard but not as harsh as slammed??

You could do worse than reverting back to standard Cabby GTI suspension. I dare say you'll be able to pick up a complete set on the cheap, from someone upgrading to coilovers.

Got Spax coilovers on mine really hard, but handling s**t  hot, its a compromise depending how much of a loon you are !!!!!!!!!!!!!
