Guide Sleeves/Carrier Pins for 256 Upgrade

Hi guys,

In a bit of a pickle   picked up a 256 upgrade a while ago from a member on here. When I got home and had a second look I realised that the guide sleeves/carrier pins were not in the carrier. They are the Scirocco 16v/audi 80 carriers (Part Number: 853 615 125). Rang him and he wasn't sure himself. I paid little attention at the time and thought it would be an easy find when I come to fit them. Now that time has come I can't find those pesky pins anywhere Really don't want to buy new carriers, just need 4 pins. The guide bush and bolts are still available. Anybody have any clue where I might find them?

They are the same as fitted to all 16v Mk2s. In fact any ones with Girling 54 calipers

Not quite sure what you mean mate, Sorry   The calipers don't come with the carrier pins do they? Was under the impression that the metal sliding pins/sleeve sit into the hole on the carrier which has thread, which you then run a long bolt (not the size in the pic) from the caliper side into the carrier pin which holds them together. At the moment the inside of my carrier hole is smooth with no thread

yes as he said same on all 256mm carriers, and 280s. get thee'sen t' scrappy and rob some

loads of vw, seat and audi use these parts, look for anythign with similar looking front brakes as yours. pre-96 mk3 golf gti,16v and vr6 probably the most common car to get em from in your scrappy
