gti orignal height?

Hi, anyone knows the original height from the ground of the 1979 gti? i just bought mine and it's already lowered but i don't know how much, and i need to buy a new lowered suspension kit (mine are almost dead). i need to understand if the height will vary with the suspension i will buy. thank you
