Golf GTI Rivage Power Steering and alloy wheels
We have just bought a gti rivage which has power steering. It currently runs on 17inch 40 profile wheels as the bloke we bought it from had one of the le castellet wheels stolen.
The issues I have are:
1) the steering is quite noisey on full lock and a bit lumpy (i.e goes light then back to normal) this is more noticable in the wet. Is this likely to be because the size of the wheels? If not any suggestions. If it is the rack, does anyone know where to get one from as i have read various forums saying that VW commissioned?
2) Does anyone know of a breakers or supplier who has 15" le castellet wheels i cant find anything on the net other than ebay and you how painful that can be with rare items. you think your there and someone pips you at the post!
Sorry for all the questions this is my first post
thanks

14" castellet come up much more frequant and go for a much lower price.
hopefully someone else can help with power steering, dont know much about that on a mk1, infact wasnt even aware it could come with it. Except as a modification.
Welcome to the site by the way and get some pics posted when you get the chance.
