Gearbox oil on clutch? Advice needed.

Guys, i was just finishing off a full service with a gearbox oil change last on my list. Now i thought the box could be filled via the speedo drive plug (which is missing on my car) so i proceeded to pour roughly half a litre in here when I then heard the dreaded 'drip' 'drip' noise from underneath and noticed it was spilling onto the floor from where the box meets with the engine (clutch?)

Having finally found the filler plug i successfully filled the gearbox, however upon taking it on a spirited drive now my clutch is slipping quite badly, obviously from the transmission oil i poured all over it.

Will it eventually burn off? or is my clutch now fubarred?

Regards,
Neil.

the box can be filled via the speedo drive hole but it seems like you have put your oil into the clutch inspection hole instead .. i would say clutch needs changing for definate ...
