Gearbox kit

i need to change the gearbox bushes and linkages (so ive been told)

where is the best place to buy one of these kits? ive seen a short shift kit, but am not really wanting a short shift one, it was ?41, are standard ones cheaper?

available from awsome GTI store but at ?75 that's not cheap!

probably find that most of it is still available at VW if you want new, I know the silver bit (can't remember the name) is still available from VW at about ?12-15 if I remember correctly  :wink:

There are two kits available from GSF. One is around ?4 and contains just the bushes. These are responsible for the forward/backwards bit and some (not all) the side-side movement. but only forwards of the gear lever and main rod which runs towards the front of the car. There is also a ?14 kit which contains more parts, eg the bottom of the gear lever ball and the bush which the main rod sits in.

I bought this one, but really what I needed was a kit with the little rods too (these are responsible for most of the side-side movement). There are some on ebay, they crop up quite regularly. If someone knows of another supplier, it would be really useful though!
