Gear problem

i have a lot of play in my gear stick, and ideas? its annoying me

Very likely to be the gear linkages, easily repaired get a decent gear linkage repair kit. Obv im assuming you car is either MK1 or MK2 GOLF.

Nothing wrong with a 1.1 they got plenty of potential, the money you save on tax and insurance can go into making the car better. If you've got a 4 speed you'll need this  Gear linkage kit 4 speed or 5 this 5 speed gear linkage kit

its a 4 but it feels like it needs a 5 hah, my 1.1 is a bit jerky, dont think the carb is tuned right, but i have the papers for it
