Gear Linkage

Hi All  When I took my 1983 golf GTI cab for MOT the tester couldnt get in reverse and knocked the gear linkage off lost most of gears including reverse. I have pushed it back on but pops off every so often does this mean I need to get a new one or is there a way i can secure it down so it does not pop off again. Thanks Ozzy

best get yourself a new one ,i would get a complete change of bushes as well you get the two linkage bars with the kit normally seen em on ebay around £15 so not expensive    reguards Tony

Hi Mate I did all the gear bushes but never got the linkage bars with it, Am I able to get therse bars from Dealers?

Yea should get them no problem try crazy quiffs or vw heritage both on the club homepage hope this helps             Cheers Tony
