Funny story.........NOT
So, been having some issues with my sportline, so far in the past few weeks I have had to thoroughly flush the coolant system after finding brown gunk in the expansion tank....did that about 20 times, solved that problem.............Then I hadnt realised but when I had fitted a battery conditioner to my battery and later removed it,the positive cable had actually completely snapped off......so broke down...twice.......THEN took the car out for another drive few days afte fitting all new terminals to the battery, broke down down 3 times.....turned out the alternator was buggered, so bought a new one, fitted it myself, car runs beautifully, however noticed a rattle coming from my exhaust...turned out my heat guard had come unclipped in the worst possible place and was vibrating against the exhaust...either that or the garage that fitted my new tank never secured it properly in the first place, more likely.....so spent all of Sunday unbolting the tank and trying to manipulate it just enough to slot the clip back in the correct place.......6 hours later, job done no more rattle. FINALLY managed to make a trip to the paintshop in Buckingham who re-sprayed my car ( been trying to arrange it since last year but EVERY time I booked her in she broke down!!!!)to sort out some niggles I am having, all great and booked in....drove home........changed gear at the traffic lights.......clutch pedal never came back up again, had to crawl about 20 miles with pretty much no clutch..........SHOOT ME PLEASE, SOMEONE.............so now the car is off road again while I get quotes to fix her :-( I hope you enjoyed my tale of woe, whomever may read this...,,,,,,
