Faulty Brake Pressure Regulator?
Does the valve shut of hydrualics completely to the rear brakes or does allow some flow through? Don't really want to have to spend ?65 on a new one unless definetly broken
Also has anyone had any experience setting one up? Seems a lot have been taken off at resto time, but how was it set up when refitted?

Dropped in to my local VW Dealer and got them to look on the VW web site about adjustment [friendly lot who are used to me] the advice was to replace if the unit was defective 8O
The only thing that adjusts is the relative position of the nylon washer in relation to the rear axle slotted bracket , you can if you look leave it slack or pull it so its tight , If you have it apart [like i did] and look in the end and there is screw that adjusts the piston . No sure what to do i cleaned it and put it all back on
Mark the brakes are still crap on mine so i may replace it :dontknow: Guys at my local GSF branch say they sell lots so may be its worth it .
What i will do though when its warmer is start to experiment with my brakes to make them work better and the rear regulator can wait till last .
Interestingly you never hear later "Cabriolet" drivers moaning about them because they have them on the master cylinder not stuck under the rear floor
Cheers………….
