drivers wheel stiff

Hi guys,

ive recently installed a brand new drive shaft (cab drive shaft as 83 mk1 shaft didnt fit guessin ive got a cab engine in my tintop) on the driver side and now when spinning the wheel its quite stiff compared to the passenger side. i dont believe it's the brakes or hub and its also making a bit of a whering noise. ive also got a judder noise if i put the it in first gear let up the clutch with the foot brake on this noise is coming from the left side.

anyone know what it could be?

P.S i recently posted "driveshaft nightmare" this mentions the start of the dilemma.

did it slide straight into the hub on the splines or did it go in stiff? the cv joint isnt catching on the actual hub is it?

ill have a think and if i can think of anything else ill get back to you.

i always have the last laugh ;)

Sounds to me like you have a bigger problem than just the drive shaft .

Fit a new shaft wheel becomes stiff ?

Only way wheel becomes stiff is when ……

Brakes are binding
Dif is faulty
Bearing is faulty
Other problem not immediatly apparant

Remove the 'new' shaft from the hub again and start again .
