Does anyone know where I have buy Brake caliper rebuild kit

Does anyone know where I can buy calipers seal rebuild kit from for my MK1 Golf 1976 1.6cc???

You can get the seals direct from VW and there really cheap too if I remember.

Try http://www.biggred.co.uk/.  Used them a couple of times and never had any problems with their stuff.  Ideally you also need some of these can be done without but they make the job a whole load easier.

Have a shuftee at Kytek - they will make stainless pistons at approx. ?17 per inch dia.

Kitek - Stainless Steel Pistons

Not sure about an alternative supplier for the seal kits - got mine as spares for stock from VW ages ago.

I'm currently weighing up the option to put the money towards MK2 calipers reconditioned from GSF and vented discs.

Ideally I just wanted to improve my current set-up on minimum money until early next year.

On their website the MK1 option ranges from 1983+ My golf is a 1976 unsure if these will work?
I'll post their response when it comes through!

I've just phoned Biggred. They told be the correct seal kit is code: 204401 ?18.19

These are for ATE calipers and are suitable for my age golf. 1976

Does anyone know if the same ATE calipers were usued on the 1.6 GTI (82) ?
Im going to order refurb kits from Biggred but I dont know if I've got Girling/ATE/…
