Cookie Cutters

I have a set of Porsche Cookie Cutters 15x7 that I would like to fit to my 1981 mk1 golf gti. I have seen a few pictures of them on mk1's and i think they look really good. I am struggling to find info on whether they will actually fit or not. I would like to know what size width adapters I need and what size tyres will be best if they do fit. Any input would be grateful. Thankyou :) Merry Christmas too!!

hi,

dont like to be the bearer of bad news but i had a set mirror polished for my mk1 caddy and tried to fit them on that and the golf and tbh the front stuck out a mile !!! even if you drilled the hubs (which i think from what i can remember was very tight ) it was still very close . they stuck way out the arch . i ll see if i can find any pics later

1981 1600 gti was silver now  mars red!!

Yeah cookies in 7 stick out a mile on the front but perfect on the rear.

Find a set in 6 and run a staggered set matey.

Thanks for your help. im not sure what the et of my wheels are how do find this out? unless i find a set of 6x15 i dont think it will work. i wish i knew this before i bought them. i should have done my research before hand.

I'm by no means a Porsche wheel expert but I think 7 wide cookies are et23 ish. If you roll the front arches and fit stretched tyres and use a 15mm adaptor you may get away with it on the front. Are you running gti arches?

6's are et 53 I think, the same as my 6 wide teledials.

It's on FK coilovers that are wound all the way down.

That front arch is actually sat on the tyre by the way, it was by no means driveable, LOL.

the back end looks nice. do you reckon they will fit if ive got some gti archers on? im thinking about getting some 15x6 or just goin for a different set of wheels all together. still not sure what i want to do

The way I see it is as I said above, for a nicer fit then a pair of 6 wide at the front would be your best bet.
Unless you want to mess around with your arches and stretch then 7's are just no good up front.

6's pop up every now and then on eBay just keep an eye out.

just bought a set of these because i've been after some for a while now..

put in a stupid offer and stoked they accepted..

final thing though:
Does anyone have any 15mm adaptors they'd want to trade for some 25mm?

it's gonna be 7's all round.

i currently have a staggered set of fondmetals but it's going to require getting the arches flared and i prefer cookie cutters anyway :)
