Coil overs

Post

Hi,

i bought some coilovers off a mk1 golf for my caddy and they came with one top nut (the nut that holds the top mount in) missing…

I went to the local car shop and they told me it was a 12mm thread, so I went to another shop and they tried a 12mm thread and it didnt fit as it was a metric thread..

So does anyone know what thread I need or where to get them?

Any response will be great and its getting on my nerves… O_o

Afraid i have no idea what size you need but a 12mm thread may possibly come in differend thread widths, ie  1mm, 1.25 mm or maybe 1.5mm, more to it than just dia i think.

Ok thank you, I may just have to order a few sets and find which ones are the winners

You'll have to help me out, because I'm confused. You measured the thread pitch and it was 1mm. Then 8 minutes later, you quoted your own post, added nothing to it, but edited the quoted portion to say its 1.2mm.

I looked and thought it was 1mm but then I looked closer and I would say its closer to 1.25mm, I'm gonna order m12 x 1, m12 x 1.25 and m12 x 1.50 just to be safe
