clutch really stiff mk1 gti

as title really im in deperate need of helf with my gti he clutch peadal is really stiff ive changed the realise bearing and the clutch backing plate cable seems ok also ,im totally stumped has any1 came accross this before thanks joe

I would try another cable matey i had a similar problem and although the cable felt fine when disconnected it had frayed inside.

A new cable sorted it straight away

How old is the clutch plate ?
They stiffen up a lot over the years, if it is not the cable then that is the usual reason.

the clutch plate ie the bit with the material tht wheres dwn or the bit with the fingers on

have u checked the hole on the bulkhead where the cable goes thru
