Clutch change what else at the same time ?

Hi Folks,
Looks like I'm going to have to put a new clutch in my 1600 GLi cabby. Can you advise of anything else it would be worth doing at the same time…..

Thanks very much !

Pray for a heat wave so you can have the top down for the next few months  :D

Check the oil seals while its apart …………replace the gear linkage bushes and rods while your at it .

Cheers………….

Might as well put a new pushrod seal in because they're tiny and must only cost about a quid, yet mine went and oil got all over the clutch.

As said already, pushrod bearing and seal (it's the bearing wearing that allows play in the pushrod that knackers the seal) but also do the intermediate shaft seal and rear crank seal on engine.

All bases covered then…

Good guide here on howto do it all.

Thank you for the replies. I'll certainly do the seals.
