Clutch cable lube?

I've just ordered a new clutch cable since my old one is binding and was wondering if the new one needed any oil on the cable?  Manual is a bit vague on the topic and mentions lubing the ends, but really don't know what that means.

theres should already be grease in the holder for the cable, if you really want you could fill it with sprey grease but tbh its not worth it.
