Cabrio 90 and 100mm driveshafts

Just a quick question or questions:

Did GTi Cabrios always come with 100mm? or was it from a specific year onwards? or is 100mm on in fact all cabrios immaterial of year or spec ie non-GTis too?

Wow as late as 88? So 90mm before then?
