Bushes help please

I have a 1.3l mk1 golf and I think my rear bushes are shot.  Im no expert myself but ive been told that this could be whats causing the awful noise coming from the rear of my motor.  It feels like vibration at certain revs and the noise is driving me up the wall.

Just wanted to try to confirm before I take it to the garage.

Im running Supersport coilovers at the moment and the ride is stiff as feck.  Is the particularly harsh ride attributable to the knackered bushes and will new ones help soften the ride?

Finally ive heard Powerflex are ok, what other brands are recommended and how much?

Many thanks in advance.

p.s. for those that were at E38 mine was/is the burgandy/cream 2 tone mk1. :D

SuperFlex bushes are very good value for money compared to Powerflex, cheaper and made from a good manufacturing process. Not cheap poly bushes that are very harsh when fitted.

Have a look at our Website as we are stockists/distributors for these and can beat most prices with no probs.

Rear bushes for example are ?25.00+ P&P a pair but if you take some other bushes we can sort out some better prices for you

Thanks, I'll get on your site and have a look.  Does it sound like that is whats causing my problem?

I'll buy whichever ones you would recommend (within reason :) ), what do you suggest?  I need them to soften the ride as much as possible.

What I also need to know is if the coilovers have made the problem worse or if the bushes have simply gone regardless of the coilovers.

chances are the bushes were pretty goosed anyway but the coilovers probably just finished em off

New bushes it is then.

Is it defo worth buying some Superflex and getting a garage to fit them, or just let the garage sort some out?

Cos not sure exactly which ones I would need.
