Better brakes

Will audi 100 sport, calipers and carriers fit on a 1.3 83 golf? my mate has some and he only wants ?20 for them!!

Depends on the year of the Audi they came from. Check they're Girling calipers (all the ones I've had have been anyway), check the spacing between carrier mounting holes is 7.5cm from centre to centre and check the carrier bolt holes are 10mm in diameter. I'd also want to know what size disks the car they came from had as I've seen 80 Sports with 239mm front disks (ie, same as Mk1 Gti). Not sure about 100 Sport though. If yes to this then they'll go on (use late 16v Mk2 Gti disks). If they're right then ?20 is an absolute bargain.
