Auto pedal box to manual pedal box?
Ok ill be getting back a nice mk1 shell soon which im going halfers with my gf's little bro, i have a 1500cc engine and box sitting in a scraped shell at the moment which were going to put into the new mk1 shell, only prob is this newer shell used to be an automatic so has the automatic pedal box,
How hard and how do you swap the auto pedal box to a manual pedal box? as its an area ive never even touched or know much about :dontknow: ops:
Also the donor car is a series 1? will that make a difference to the shell which is a series 2?
TIA 8)

The pedal box is part of the steering column. I imagine it's virtually the same minus the clutch pedal. The accelerator pedal is mounted on the bulkhead so isn't affected. I wonder if the clutch cable hole is there? I can't see them making a different bulkhead for the auto's so maybe there's a blanking plate.

They're welded together so I guess it would be easier to replace them together.
